Torres Transfer to Man Utd, and Chelsea lose Drogba.

Last night Chelsea lost and had the misfortune to lose their top scorer to injury… Bless. With the champions league out of the way it is now time for the team to focus on the all important weekend game. We must come out of the traps firing on all cylinders. We must push Chelsea all the way. I can honestly see only one goal separating the teams.

I think Ferguson knows his best 11 by now and fully expect him to play that side. I do hope that the team are rested enough to put up a proper fight against the champions. One thing that is evident in the Man Utd squad is that we are very much a confidence team. When we are confident we play sublime football, when we are not we look shaky and nervous on the ball.

We have been singing the praises of this current side for some time now. They will undoubtedly go into this game believing they can get the win and with players like Rooney and Ronaldo who would want to bet against them. The older boys such as Giggs Scholes and Neville know exactly how to deal with these situations and there is no doubt that they will be on hand to guide the younger players to victory.

In other Man Utd transfer news, We have apparently re-ignited our interest in the Spanish striker Fernando Torres. See the article here. The price tag? A cool £25 million. Do you think that he is worth it? Personally I think it is, considering Smith may well be on his way in January, probably to Villa.

The great thing about Torres is that he will not be cup-tied. We need extra fire power up front especially in the champions league. We must not neglect the midfield either. We know Fergie wants Hargreaves, but if they simply refuse to sell him then who are we going to go for?

What about van Huntlelaar, hes a natural finisher but torres would be amazing but expensive. I also like a player like duff/nani as we need another winger.

great blog by the way

Thanks anonymous. There is a discussion going on about this in the forum I think we need a defensive midfielder as well.

We definitly need a Strike and a midfielder. you could see on Tuesday Saha was tiring in the second half, but SAF could not take him off. Glazer the Red Lepricaun needs to free some of the money we recieved from the sales of players and the new shirt deal so that SAF can bring in quality players.

I think it is a real shem that Ole got injured, he was showing signs of being as great as he ever was. My general opinion is that we lack a lot of depth, we certainly don't have quality cover in every position like we did in the 1990's.

Thanks for your comments.
