Man Utd V Arsenal Review

Well what a disappointing weekend, Wenger got it right when he said we were 10 minutes from winning the title. To be honest I thought we looked off the pace throughout and never deserved to win. Anyhow we must press on and we must remember, we are still 6 points clear at the top of the table.

Yesterdays performance demonstrated to me how much we miss a real fighter in the midfield. Keane would have got amongst Arsenals midfield, preventing them from playing the football we all know they love to play. From the of we allowed them too much space on the ball meaning they could go forward in strength and numbers. The two goals was cruel on us, but perhaps it will galvanize the team back into winning ways next week.

It was the perfect opportunity to take the club 9 points clear at the top after Chelsea’s performance at Anfield. They looked disheartened, their body language was not that of champions but of a team in crisis, the constant bickering in the board room seems to be finally affecting how the teams play.

As for the underdogs Arsenal and Liverpool, they will be fired up after this weekends results and it is up to us to ensure we keep them at arms length by getting back on a winning run, we really don’t want it to go down to the wire, as exciting as that may be!

Yesterday shows we need Hargreaves and a lack of transfer activity in January could harm our prospects of winning the title comfortably!

It was Thierry Henry all the way. If you all clearly notice, Henry always seems to have more time when the ball is in his possession irrespective of which area he is in the field. His experience made all the difference. Though me being a big fan of Ronaldo, I find him a non-impact in all big games. Its time he makes an impact.

I think after going 1-0 up we should have pressed more and gone for the second. Instead, we seemed to do what many teams have done against us - go 1-0 ahead and just defend and not much else, and then lose a couple of late goals.

Taking the positives (if at all possible!) I thought Evra played well again, especially his part in Rooney's goal. Chelsea's anaemic performance at Anfield suggested they won't just turn it around in an instant, and at least we have Watford to get things back on track again a week Saturday.

On other matters, it was nice to see FC TKK finally leap-frogging Agent FC in the FF league! Shame it had to be Van Persie's goal that made it possible...

There's a good (and long) article on what seems to be a regular pattern when we play cautiously here:

I though we should have gotten a point but rio and vodic went to sleep and gave henry too much space in the box and he made us pay.

I was disappointed with our performance. I think we needed to up the tempo once we went into the lead and kill the game with a 2nd goal. I still think this UNited side dont have it in them to hold onto a lead and sit and soak up the pressure. I am still not convinced about Michael Carrick, maybe he needs more time to settle but he has not shown much in the 1st half of the season.

we are still 6 points clear though and with the scousers doing us a favour , we still in the pound seats.

Well we surely deserved to win that match,We surely need a midfielder to spoil things up for teams like Arsenal, they love to pass the ball around and we kinda like entertained that.when Arsenal passes the ball around guys like Thierry Henry reproduce in such conditions.6 points clear-Not bad !
