Here is an article in The Times that talks about the Torres and Huntelaar comparision. What do you guys think?

interesting article in the times. some of the comments afterwards talked about huntelaar not having much pace and being a player like RVN. the worry of course is that utd would revert to the style of play of the RVN years and that this would be easily controlled by skilled opposition.

i'm not so sure. we are a very different team all round. since RVN left we have seen ronaldo and rooney develop into the focus of our attacks. this would obviously change if there were a prolific striker on the tip of that spear. but we also have to take into account that the rest of the team will change too.

giggs has probably one more year in him, as does neville. scholes is a couple of years away from probably moving on or hanging up his boots. the side will shift and shift again. having not seen huntelaar play, nor really knowing how hargreaves will fit in, it's near impossible to pass judgment on SAF's plans.

then again, i think most utd fans enjoy the pace of the way we play when we play well...we love how our quick passing overwhelms the opposition and ends up in the back of their net! so, obviously hearing that a player isn't pacy and prefers neat, slow build up play, makes me think he'd be perfect for arsene wenger!!! remember veron? too slow for the rest of our players.

i trust SAF just enough to pick them right. let's just hope he keeps the overall style the same. of the top three teams in the premiership (and really, liverpool isn't there yet!) utd plays the most dynamic, most fluid and most 'english' of the lot: fast, tough, skillful and to the point....just with the bloody national team could do the same!!

agent: you're right...club football is the best.

I think Robinho is an okay striker...he isn't deadly infront of the goal, and he tends to miss a lot of opportunities. Though he is very creative and can make plays which is always a good thing. Man Utd don't need a player like him though, cause we plenty strikers that can make play...hell all we need is Rooney alone. I think we need a finisher though..like RVN was to us, I think Huntelaar would be the perfect choice..similar style to RVN, he is deadly infront of goal, and can score from any angle...once he joins a big club like Man Utd and get comfortable with our style of play (which from the way he plays won't be too hard) he will turn into one of the best in the world...Man Utd need to sign him...i hope they do...he is definately one of those players with that special talent.
