This represents a shrewd move by Ferguson who has been lacking attacking options up front. Larrson at 35 though will need to work hard if he is to be a regular feature in the starting line-up. Does this mean that a move for Huntlaer or Torres is now unlikely?

fantastic move by SAF. genius. funny that no one on the forums or this blog had thought of something like that. guess that's why we're not getting paid to scout!!
anyway, i'm very happy. the man is ruud van r with a good attitude! he'll inspire the dressing room and i think he'll inspire saha. the boy will learn from him for sure.
and as for throwing down loads of cash for another striker, this was what SAF had to say:
"We won't be going for any other striker. We have exhausted all avenues and this, without doubt, is the best option."
