Manchester United boast record season ticket sales.

Man United have just confirmed that season tickets for this year have reached the 64,000 mark. This brings them close to the capacity of the ground for last season which stood at 67,500. The anti Glazer feeling does not seem to have affected the seasons preperations with the club looking likely to fill old trafford on a regular basis.

United have introduced a season long ticket to cope with the overwhelming demand for tickets to man utd. A source close to united said "This is fantastic news, We have almost sold as many tickets for every game before the start of the season than we had as an entire capacity last year. It is a record figure, not just for us but for English football as a whole and something we are very proud of. It shows that United fans are continuing to support the team at Old Trafford in huge numbers."

It had been feared that ticket sales had slumped at united due to the lack of transfer activity at the club over the summer period. Todays results clearly show that the United faithful are still confident of success this season and are behind their team 100%.
