Tevez to transfer to Manchester United?

Whilst reading all the articles on United this morning I came across one particular article that got me more excited than most. Read it here . Now I know this is the usual media hype and a suggestion that Tevez may move away in no way means he is coming to us, however it seems to good an opportunity to miss in signing one of Argentina’s brightest stars and hottest prospects.

Tevez applies his trade in Brazil for Corinthians. As an Argentinean this is a brave move as there is an incredibly fierce rivalry between the 2 countires. Most South American players try to engineer a move from their home club into Europe, however Tevez made the record move across the border to Brazil.

Corinthians are struggling at the bottom of their league and a number of disappointing results have left the club bottom of their division. Tevez, being Argentinean seems to have bourn the brunt of the fans frustrations and when he scored an equaliser in a game they should have been winning, Tevez put his finger to his lips suggesting the Corinthian fans should be quiet in their criticism of him and the club, an action that did not go down well at all.

The owner of Corinthians, Iranian business man Kia Joorabchian has now declared that he cannot keep the Argentinian wonderkid, as the player now fears for his families safety. It is believed that Tevez could be obtained for around the £15 million mark, a bargain considering Carrick could cost us anything up to £18.6 million. If there was ever a time for the Glazers to demonstrate that they are willing to invest in this glorious club now would be the time.

If we acquired Tevez, where would he play? Please suggest your formations with Tevez in the frame.

Tevez is a natural centre forward, something like Owen but more powefull and technical. 15m it's a bargain however i don't think that price tag is real. It might have been made up by papers. But if there's any true in it we MUST go after him. Someone might suggest that he's too similar to rooney and they couldn't link up well i strongly disagree. Just look at owen/rooney combination for England (and i remmember how they both were ripping apart Argentina in 3:2 win). Tevez and rooney along with ronaldo would be a disaster for any defence

I think you are right. We are looking good for the start of the season. The only worry is the injury list but as always I'm optimistic about many of those. I don't know if you've read the daily mail article today, but they are making out that we a re a weak side and only have youngsters. I think whoever wrote that forgot about the class of 1992!!!

It's an article criticising our team not about Tevez, if you look on the "in the papers today 08-08-06" post there is a link there. There is an update on the Tevez rumour on skysports website which can be found Here

Just in case you want to read this rather pesimistic daily article, Here it is there is nothing on Tevez though.

we should buy tevez. as Mascherano is also Argentine playing in the same team can we assume that a similar situation might arise with him.

If only we had an Argentine player in our team to use his influence.....

Tevez will be perfect for man utd...he and rooney will link up very well. we can play a 4-3-3 formation with scholes, carrick and senna in the middle & rooney and ronaldo supporting tevez upfront. that we are gona have plenty options on the subs bench with park, giggs, saha, ole, smith and others left to put on
